The new band

We have gathered some informations about Cat Power's new supporting band:

It seems that it will be a band composed only by women but there might also be Gregg Foreman in it.


I found this information on Twitter: one of the new guitar players is french and is called Adeline F (the last name was not given).

It's not really important but i think that i put a name on the french guitar player: Adeline Fargier Jasso.
Internet is a very powerful search tool when you know how to use it. It's almost scary.

I think the drummer's name is Alianna. She's on every pic with Nico Turner, Gregg Foreman and Adeline with the hashtag CatPower. She was the drummer on the triple A conference.

I don't know if it's a joke or if it will be the name of the band with Cat Power but I found this on Nico Turner's Instagram:

And is this Annika she mentioned in a former tweet a member of the band too?

I'm a bit puzzled about the role of Nico Turner in the band: bass? Drums? Guitar? Keyboard? I would stick with the keyboard because we haven't seen pictures of anybody on the keyboard yet.
On the pictures of the Boulder conference we don't see her on stage, well at least i don't think that she is the dark hair guitar player with a skirt.

It's definitely not her. On her instagram she posted some pics of keyboards, so you may be right.

I was thinking about Annika Terera Oksanen. Maybe she's her production assistant. I found on a website that she worked in a company named Nosturi in Finland.

Okay, I'll buy that. I was just going on Chan's post where she said Annika needed to learn the guitar parts. But she could've meant bass guitar parts.

My intuition is that Gregg won't be in the band. He might just be here while Chan was looking for the last girl who would join them.

Sounds plausible, making this an all girl band.

I also remember that Chan said that Gregg was helping with the auditions for the new band. On his instagram it's written: Cat Power (musical director).

I don't remember that but i do remember that i saw a tweet from an unknown person talking about 2 drummers. It could have been a joke.

What a great picture, some good looking women. The one closest, Adeline, She even looks like a young Chan Marshall in a way, looks like she has blue eyes though. What if this turned out to be Chan's most rocking band ever.

There is a strong probability that for the first time Chan is going to tour with somebody that was inspired by her career.
I'll try to get an interview with her somehow. It should be easier than to get an interview with Chan...

Seems that Annika is Chan's assistant.

Could it be their stage uniform? I totally like the idea! It would be a complete departure from anything Chan did until now.
And if you allow me: these musicians are also gorgeous women.

But the question remains: what about the keyboard?
