There are so few videos of the last concerts, especially in this day and age with so many smartphones owners! Were there people in the hall chasing people that were recording?

^ That was awesome! I get the double microphone thing now... autotune on one of them. I dont think I've ever seen anyone utilise two microphones live like that. Unique. Suprising she has all the incense burning, with her throat problems. I actually thought it was like a fog machine effect at the beginning of the clip. I like Angelitos with the autotune, it makes it a lot more interesting for me.

It is great! I can totally spend 45€ just to watch 7 minutes like that.
But i still prefer Angelitos without the auto-tune.

^ Now thats what I'm talking about. If any of Chan's original vocals are in there they are dialed back a lot. I think its the girls backing her up though.

A good review from the New York Post of all places:

It was a good show. I will try to write something about it soon.

From http://hauntedhaylofts.tumblr.com/ on tumblr (i didn't find a way to put a direct link to the original text...)
"(what a coincidence, i was just writing this and getting ready to post it)
anyway she was UNBELIEVABLE
like i didn’t really have time to appreciate ‘sun’ yet and i was scared that the concert would be kinda alienating for that reason, and for the first couple songs (i.e. “cherokeee” and “sun” and “3,6,9”) i was thinking “wow, they’re EXCELLENT” and i was mesmerized by the drummer but i didn’t know if i was _really_ feelin’ it??
i mean at first they had a weird slideshow going in the background it was kinda distracting and i was hoping it wasn’t gonna go on for the whole show
basically, at first i was really loving it but still preparing for the worst, as per usual … for a good part of the first half, i mean, i’m a short person, i was behind this dancing ponytail woman and i couldn’t see past a tall curly-haired man ahead, she played “bully” which was also nice and her vocals were amazing but it’s not my favorite,
i was kinda thinking how ‘the greatest’ was my favorite album and wouldn’t it be nice to hear something from that but you know that’s wishful thinking i don’t think it fits in with the songs she’s been playing (and i’m not like that loser still screaming “sea of love!”) but
THEN they played ANGELITOS NEGROS and i melted into a puddle on the floor, i was just shocked still there it was so good every single minute of it (and her pronunciation seemed a bit better than the recorded version, hah) … with this song she went for a really dark and sparse arrangement interspersed with loud climaxes driven by the band, a common theme in the non-‘sun’ songs
THEN THEN THEN she sang the absolute coolest most wonderful arrangement of THE GREATEST and i was verifiably floating throughout that, it was the highlight of the night, incredible
for some reason during those two great songs and the following “always on my own” there seemed to be a mass clearing out up front, which i don’t get, at all … but i’m kinda thankful for because people shifted around and by the end i had a perfect and comfortable view
EDIT: also the set changes! the slideshow screen at first went away and it was pattern projections with a giant light-up triangular thing and mirror, then that went away and it was a patterned partial-scrim curtain with lights in front and behind
she also started “back in the days” but about half through was like “let’s cut this fucking song off it’s not supposed to sound like this” and went instead into “nothin but time”
and she played “i don’t blame you,” then “ruin” (which ROCKS) and closed with “ramblin (wo)man” while throwing flowers into the audience
anyway it was a really really really really really really really really super show and it’s up with suzanne vega as the most thoroughly enjoyable / blissful concerts i’ve ever been too"

Re: 10/23/12 – NYC, Hammerstein Ballroom
I've erased my post, otherwise there were too many videos for this page! I think that i'll put a limit to how many videos we can embed on the same page. I think that we shouldn't put more than 10.
Re: 10/23/12 – NYC, Hammerstein Ballroom
Personally, I dislike watching videos on youtube, because the ads on there constantly change like every minute or so and make the video I am watching stutter or freeze. Cant we post all the videos here?
