Going through my first listening of the day, first tears spotted, finally.

You know what? This album looks so much like the Chan Marshall that i know through her interviews: it brims of life (is it proper english? ), it goes in so many different directions and it's totally brilliant.

Rhôôô, l'enchainement Manhattan/Silent Machine/Nothing but Time/Peace & Love est tout simplement énorme. Énorme.

Vas-y lâche-toi! Je ne me lasse pas de Manhattan. Elle me fait le même effet que lorsque j'ai entendu Metal Heart (2008) la première fois.

Les Français qui me lisent: pouvez-vous me dire si vous avez croisé un vinyle de SUN dans une boutique quelque part? Il semble qu'il y ait un couac au niveau de la distribution. Aucune des grosses enseignes sur internet ne l'a en stock par exemple...

J'ai appelé une boutique pour me renseigner, qui a elle-même contacté NAIVE, le distributeur. Alors il y a bien eu un couac de livraison avec le vinyle. Point important à signaler: l'édition vinyle standard ne sera commercialisée en France que lorsque l'édition limitée sera épuisée.
Je ne partage pas vraiment cette façon de procéder, d'autant plus que le tout est déjà disponible sur le site de Matador Records, mais je vous livre l'information à l'état brut. Du coup j'annule ma commande amazon et je vais aller voir une petite boutique...

SUN could be her best album, i don't know but it's without a doubt her most exciting. It's exhilarating.

Question à Sab (et à ceux qui l'ont eux aussi) qui a un pressage vinyle européen en version deluxe: le vinyle est bien transparent comme sur les pressages américains?

In fact that's not that strange and it's what i feared. Well "fear" is too strong a word but here is the explanation: the records sold in Europe have been pressed in a European plant and the records sold in the US in an american plant. That's the reason why there are very often differences with the vinyl color and/or with the quality of the cover (such as the color, the thickness of the cover, etc.).
Now with such a difference, and as a record collector, i might want to grab a US pressing too...

Joke of the year: my record player doesn't work with transparent vinyl!
My record player works with a laser that is supposed to detect the size of the LP. With the clear vinyl, the laser detect nothing.
