A quick glance to past Cat Power tours explains why the cancellation of the 2012 european concerts was really unfortunate:

Apparently there was going to be a concert in Shanghai on April 12, but it has been canceled. Interesting...

Waiting for Cat Power, you should go see Kaki King, I just saw that she is playing in march in your town only for 6 euros! Don't miss that, she's amazing.

I throw in the towel. I'm totally clueless about what's going to happen. If a tour is scheduled for april, it should have been announced by now. The european tour was announced 3 months before it was supposed to start, and the Australian tour was announced 3 months and a half before.
Now i take a sit. Wake me up if any information appears.

Never say never again... Of course as soon as i wrote this, i found a hint that Europe will be the next stop after Australia. It could be april but it is not set in stone. Don't ask me for the source, i don't want it to shut down.

So, the Australian tour will start this week. I bet that we'll hear about the European tour within a few days. Wishful thinking? Sure but such an announcement would make sense. After all we have absolutely no visibility about what is going to happen after march 9th!

I saw on instagram that Greg Hunt is in Australia too...Maybe is he there to film the concerts like he did in LA?

CAT POWER SUPPORTS ANNOUNCED

Mick Turner, guitarist for the Dirty Three, sometime collaborator with Chan Marshall and master of the understated has been confirmed as support to Cat Power for shows in Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane and Adelaide. Turner will perform his lanquid sounds in solo-mode with help from a mellotrone, a keyboard and some simple home projections. Like we said, understated. Meanwhile local three piece Bushwalking – made up of members of Songs, Fabulous Diamonds and Kes Band – will do the honours in Melbourne.

My wish for the forthcoming european tour: a couple more dates in France and in the UK than what was scheduled in december. It wouldn't be too much.

Ok, i'm ready for the new dates. Later might be too late: it will be very difficult for me to go see one of these concerts on short notice...

The european tour was cancelled 4 months ago and still nothing official about a rescheduled tour.
