Untitled next album (2017 ?): hopes, wishes, news & speculations

SUN is now behind us and we can now start to think about the next album. Chan hinted a few weeks ago that she may record it later this year. So, what do you expect? What would you like to hear on this record?

So far, we already know that some songs are strong contenders to reach the track list:

Monster
Brave Liar
Horizon
Oh Time (we know that Chan was willing to put it on SUN when she finally decided that it was too sad)

Chan posted on her instagram yesterday that she was going into the studio. Looks like she is in Chinatown in NYC. And she mentioned Beastie Boys so I am guessing she was at Chung King Studio where they did some recordings (and also Jay-Z). Good news!

So we know from the SECAM listing about these songs:

Plus we know about the Star Spangled Banner cover being recorded.

I think Maria is really just a thing she uses to kind of warm up her voice at the beginning of shows. And I dont think she'll revisit the Pa-Pa Power cover for the album. But she is still playing the What The World Needs Now Is Love cover, so that's a possibility.

I think all of what I have listed here could and should be released. This would make a killer double album (a first CP double album!) or could come out over 2 studio albums.

Not very likely, but should be released some day:

Let Me Go (already released in a version with Cassius, but man... it's criminal that there is no official Chan solo studio release of this!)
Oh, Time (She once said this wouldn't appear on Sun because it was too sad... She still needs to get an official release for this one.)

I would be shocked if Wanderer wasn't on the album!
I would be disappointed if Let Me Go and Oh Time are not on it. I feel that they are the best unreleased songs that we know of.
