This is the first performance of the year and the first performance of Chan's short 7-date US tour. The opening band was Sisu.
This first part of the North American Sun Tour started on 10/11/12 and ended 11/8/12 for a run of 17 concerts and 1 TV performance. As the European Sun Tour was canceled in 2012, this is now the 19th performance of the tour and the start of the 2nd leg of the tour. Following these January tour dates, Chan will head to New Zealand and Australia for 10 dates in February and March.
The setlist is basically unchanged from the previous concerts from October and November 2012.

I can see some of those big lights in the third picture. Looks like everything is there to me.

Re: 1/22/13 - Santa Ana, CA, The Observatory
I just got home from the show. What an experience. I got right up against the stage again, and I am almost positive that she remembered me from her last LA show. I gave her a letter I had written for her and she appeared very eager to read it. I left her my email and address, so time will tell if she decides to reply to me. Towards the end of the show she handed me a flower to give to me girlfriend. At the very end of the show she came up close and was personally thanking her fans. She ran back to the stage and bent down to retrieve the setlist. We locked eyes and she pointed at me, indicating that she was giving it to me. She unstuck the tape, licked the setlist (god knows why, but I swear it's true), and handed it to me...god I love that woman. Her performance was even better than that of her last concert and her double mic technique was unbelievable. If you have any questions, or want to know anything about the concert, go ahead and ask me.

Thank you! It seems that once again you had the time of your life! I don't see myself being given such a treatment. Lucky you!
Did you notice anything different from last time? How was her vocal performance?
Re: 1/22/13 - Santa Ana, CA, The Observatory
Sorry she hasn't gotten around to the European tour yet :/
Her voice was beautiful. Her throat started to bother her a bit, but she was brought out some drinks to soothe the irritation.
The pyramid shaped display was missing, and it didn't take eleven minutes of mindless strumming for Chan to walk out onstage tonight maybe only about thirty seconds or so. Those were the two biggest differences that I noticed.
