What the hell, you dont have ''Sun''? Just kidding, sweet collection there. I notice a lot of Cat Power fans are also Bob Dylan fans.

Impressive collection!
Considering that we have more or less the same records, i was wondering if you know Bill Callahan?
If not, i'm sure that you would enjoy "Apocalypse".
Re: Your records collection
I must admit I only know him through Bathysphere and his relationship with Chan. I think I took a look at his profile on Allmusic and the lo-fi aspect has interested me but so far, I haven't listened to his music. So, thanks for your advice, that's perfect 'cause I almost forgot him ! I'll have listened to Apocalypse by the end of the day !

Re: Your records collection
I've sold the Revolver copy that i bought 2 weeks ago (i already have an original UK pressing) and with that money i bought those 3 records:
I've been looking for ages for such a nice copy of "Lola", with its original gatefold cover and at a decent price.
The US back cover of Songs of Leonard Cohen is very cool. We didn't have this drawing on european versions of this album. At last i've found one!

Yeah "Lola" is such a great album, one of their latest masterpieces with "Muswell Hillbillies" in my opinion

Don't discard their other 70's albums too quickly. Each of them (with one exception: Preservation Act.2 ) have its good moments, especially "Sleepwalker", a very good album in my opinion.PathsofVictory wrote:Yeah "Lola" is such a great album, one of their latest masterpieces with "Muswell Hillbillies" in my opinion

Re: Your records collection
Yes agreed but what I meant to say was that from the first album or at least "The Kink Kontroversy" to "Muswell Hillbillies", all of their albums were perfect in my opinion. After 1971, they were still recording great stuff but it seems to me that they already had lost something and their records weren't as consistent as they used to be
Re: Your records collection
Carrément, disons qu'en piochant dans les albums post Muswell, il y a de quoi faire un best-of qui n'aurait pas à rougir face à leurs disques de la période dorée.
Re: Your records collection
Today are reissued the Beatles records in Mono and on vinyl. Finally i've been able to get a mono White album! I could not afford an original (more than 150 € for a very worn copy nowadays) but this reissue will do the trick!
The price of the White album is especially cheap (it's much more expensive in europe) on amazon.com: www.amazon.com/Beatles-White-Album-Mono-Vinyl/dp/B00KZ73VU4

^ This is an AMAZING RECORD, IT'S A REISSUE OF "ONLY THEATER OF PAIN" BY CHRISTIAN DEATH,
They were a goth band from LA that basically influenced the entirety of gothic and deathrock music ncwdays,
been listening to this album a lot, it's truly amazing their singer Rozz Williams took his own life, a tragic loss -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rozz_Williams
Been listening to lots of siouxsie and the banshees as well
