One of the attractions of Popload Festival, the American singer Cat Power surprised São Paulo on the afternoon of Thursday (27) to promote a free secret show at the Paradise subway station.

Alone, accompanied only by a guitar, the presentation began at 17h35, in front of an audience of fans, curious and unsuspecting circulating through the station in the late afternoon.

Her repertoire included five songs, Cat Power presented hits like "Metal Heart" and "Naked If I Want To" in different versions of the originals, as she often does in traditional shows. Quickly and without riots, the presentation lasted 20 minutes.

"I just came to see and I got to see the last song. I could not see straight, I tried to move myself, but it was bad because there are many pillars in the subway and and people moving," said the student Ariane Castro, 22.

"It was real quick, but always worth. I was able to sit back and see everything. I loved it when the subway official began to advertise something as she sang, and she started laughing," said the student also Carolina Dantas, 19.

The surprise show serves as a "warming" to Popload festival, which takes place this Friday and Saturday in Sao Paulo, Audio Club, west of the state capital, joining the likes of The Lumineers, Metronomy, 2manydjs, Marcelo Jeneci, Mixhell and Nepal.

This week, Janeci and Rodrigo Amarante had already presented on site, also as a prior event.

According to the production of Popload, the idea of promoting surprises shows, announced a few hours before the internet, is to avoid riots, enjoying the drive station before the evening peak hours.

Hundreds of fans gathered in the Metro station Paraíso, São Paulo, to watch the surprise concert of American singer Cat Power on the afternoon of Thursday, 27.

The presentation was announced in the official pages of the artist in social networks.

The secret acoustic show was performed at the landing stage in Tucuruvi direction and lasted about 30 minutes. Although gather a good number of people, Cat performance didnt disrupt the environment.

Her repertoire included hits like Metal Heart and a special version of the classic Satisfaction, the Rolling Stones. "You guys are great. It was a pleasure to play for you. See you again this weekend," said the singer.

The acoustics of the place did not contribute much and who was more to the back of the stage could not hear the voice of the singer. "I think this kind of initiative valid. The show in the afternoon of Thursday is part of the Festival Popload disclosure project, which will be held on 28 and 29 November in São Paulo. In 2014, about to celebrate 20 years of career, Charlyn Marie Marshall - real name Cat Power - released the song I Wish I Was Here with the British group Coldplay, for the eponymous film directed by Zach Braff.
