This is the 23rd performance of the year and the 41st performance of the ''Sun'' tour. The opening performers are Opal and Maria Luiza Jobim.

Thus far (since touring officially began in October 2012), Cat Power has made 35 concert performances, 4 TV performances, and 1 Radio performance in promotion for "Sun".

At this point, the ''Sun'' tour really takes off, with Cat Power having currently scheduled 33 performances over the next 3 months. Beginning here in South America, the band will then play more shows in the US, and continue on to Europe until August. There are currently 13 Festival performances planned including some really big ones like "Bonnaroo", "Glastonbury'', ''Montreux Jazz'' and ''Lollapalooza Chicago''. Of special note, Cat Power will finally share a bill with the Rolling Stones at Glastonbury. This is her busiest summer touring schedule since 2008, which was in support of her previous album, Jukebox.

I didn't expect to hear such a cheerful version of Sea of Love!
If you compare this to the previous opener, a rather gloomy version of "The Greatest", it sets a completely different vibe. Now it sounds like a party (which is totally cool in its own way).

Now I see why (the Velvet Underground song) Oh Sweet Nuthin' keeps getting labeled to this song. She is singing part of the lyrics at the beginning, for at least some of the song. So this is really a medley of "Oh Sweet Nuthin''' and ''Shivers''.
