Now i understand why Chan was spending so much time in charity shops: she's selling the merchandise after her concerts:
Re: Miscellaneous / Divers
Oh yeah, I thought I mentioned that. I bought a shirt at the Detroit show. As you can see, she's silkscreening onto just about every kind of shirt. I was looking through the rack, and saw a flannel, "This ones for the grunge Cat Power fans.", I saw a womans business suit with pinstripes. I was thinking... who is going to buy that with a big pink symbol on the back of it... ... The one I picked out was just a plain black T-shirt. I held it up and asked it if looked like it was me. The lady next to me said yeah. But now that I have it home with me I can see it's obviously for a girl. I'll probably frame it instead of ever wear it. It was $20. Some of the others were $30 because they were long sleeved.

Re: Miscellaneous / Divers
I would've loved a poster, but no. They had Sun on cd and a selection of her vinyl albums, Sun included (standard). No vinyl that I didnt have. And there was also some records and stickers for X-Ray Eyeballs. The guy I was with at the Detroit show promptly went and bought their album and single after he saw them. Not a lot of stuff actually. The shirt rack had maybe 50 or 60 shirts.

I remind to everybody that you can buy a Sun poster here: http://www.normanrecords.com/records/136276-cat-power--sun-?B=1&utm_expid=12250459-8&utm_referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.normanrecords.com%2Fpoogle%2Findex.php%3Fq%3Dcat%2Bpower
Maybe should we create a topic about the kind of merchandise we would enjoy to see at Cat Power concerts?

They were only available at the concerts she played on the tour, usually in the lobby of the venue. These are all one-of-a-kind. Maybe she will have an official t-shirt sold through Matador or something. And maybe when she tours again she have more shirts at the venues.

It was somebody on twitter an Chan also posted the picture on instagram a few days later. And yes she wrote on instagram that she painted them herself (and with a little help from her friends i suppose).

I sense some hurt feelings there.
Re: Miscellaneous / Divers
Yeah Nico Thank you. I've just sent back all my tickets today for the Sun tour. It breaks my heart, I'm going to Hamburg though...It seems to be a great town.

Re: Miscellaneous / Divers
I don't know if that's the right topic but anyway, I'm looking for a Willie Deadwilder tab. So if there are some guitar players here who could help me that would be great ! I couldn't find something accurate elsewhere and I think Chan may have a very particular way to play it...
Re: Miscellaneous / Divers
''Willie Deadwilder'' (not to be confused with ''Willie'' from 'The Greatest'), has M. Ward on guitar.
As far as I can tell, this is in 'Drop-D' tuning. The chords are G, A and D. Here's a very simplified tab:
G A D
E
B 0 0
G 0 0
D 5 7 0 2^4 4 4^2 0
A 5 7 0
D 5 7 0
The high E might also be tuned to D, not sure. Note also that he plays variety of little embellishments which I wont bother trying to figure out. Make sure you hit that open B string during the G and A chords. I hope this helps.
