Awsome! I love the vibes a lot. It reminds me the very early live performances of what was then called "Sittin on a ruin". This Swing State might end up on an album in a few years!

This was just a really neat part of the show. I love her attitude! Most people missed this part.

These are the 74th and 75th performances of the year and the 15th and 16th solo performances of the year. 

Technically, this was really one long show. Start time for the ''early show'' was delayed until around 9pm or so. Around 11pm, the ''late show'' people were let in and everyone else could stay. Nico Turner did not get to play her set. An audio recording was made, and the quality is very good. The times above reflect this audio.

Hi. Is there a link to download the recording? I'm new to the forum, so I'm sorry if I'm missin git. I was at both the arly and late show in Chicago last night.

I want to mention that as one of the staff moved the piano to where it was, me and another girl tried to get his attention to move it back to where it was before. He either didnt hear us, or ignored us. Sure enough, when it came time to play piano Chan said she wished it was on the other side of the stage.

I have no words: magic? Not strong enough to describe this...

She's a little rusty on her playing, but just to hear her singing those words. Wow. 

 Also, interesting how she slips into "Willie", she's done that at other shows too.

first of all, thanks cokelike to made possible to sing that song that night. so special to you it is i imagine.
i think chan see , when you called nico that you could help her. love it. love nico too.

all what happens in this video is absolutly amazing. first when nico comes to stage, she puts talking with chan, chan remembers her how should be the melody of the guitar of metal heart.

 its cool to see chan , so prepared to improvision, she sing the whole song with a completly different rithm, the arrengment (arreglos ) sorry my english sucks)) are so great. i think she even sorprises of herself because her talent, she is such a mature singer now. so mature in music. and so simple . men , difficult to describe.

so well, you can see nico lerning with such a woman like chan. musicaly im talking, musicaly and a lot of aspects in life of course, thats the biggest part i dont know. but im sure that is.

so then i love to see how chan, in this solo show, comes mentaly to the sun tour area, where she make this two parts of metal heart, the last one the most strong and fucking diferent to a chan solo tour....     all the song was so changed moodly isn t it¿?    
      ok, then in this first part of the song nico thinks that going to end, but chan tells her to keep going. and in that fuckin moment they talk how to do this last part. so nice to see real musicians.

i think this version is
with the guitar of moon pix. the melody first like jukebox but then completly new, and the end like sun tour. 
love it . love see chan smile.

Haven't been on this forum for ages (sorry!), and didn't even know about this solo tour. But this is the most amazing concert review I've ever read. Surely wish I would have been there to witness it. Thanks a lot for sharing all the sounds and memories
