J'ai jeté un œil rapidement aux Inrocks: bof. Ce sont les mêmes photos que VoxPop mais en plus petit et en moins grand nombre. L'article n'est pas sous la forme d'une itw mais d'un texte dans lequel ils glissent des bouts d'itw mais ça ne m'a pas paru suffisant pour que je lâche 3€. A vous de voir.

After the tumultuous split, Cat Power threw herself into the her self-funded studio in Malibu to bed down the last tracks on her latest record, Sun.

Wrong. Bed down?

"I'd already finished the record. I had three weeks to go on it," she assures. So, in other words, she hadn't finished the record.

Just... what??

Sun may have a rich, vitamin D title but many songs on the record speak of melancholy and the infinite sadness.

"Rich vitamin D title"?? Melancholy and the infinite sadness?? The record is hardly that sad and am I really reading this? He is using a Smashing Pumpkins reference?

Yes! The good news just keeps coming today, possible chance to hear studio versions of the new live songs from the last 2 years! Here's to hoping that she puts them all out next year on "Sun II" or maybe since some of them are darker then the new album, how about "Moon".

I think that you can add "Time is a great healer". If i remember well, somebody asked her if this song would be on SUN and she answered "Too Sad", which would fit with the excerpt above.

This is probably going to sound awful, but I would really like another sad album. That is the Cat Power I fell in love with and I don't like Sun as much as I do her older stuff.

I would also welcome another "sad" album, especially with the songs that didnt appear on Sun. But thats just because I would welcome any Cat Power. She never disappoints.
