Cat Power Solo Tour!!!

So, with the news of 20 upcoming solo performances, I thought we should have a new thread. 

Here are all the upcoming dates mentioned so far (updated):

It seems apparent that the "Sun" Tour is over, at least for now. The tour saw the band travel to 5 continents for a total of 73 performances, from 10/11/12 to 8/10/13. Maybe there will be more band dates next year around the time of the "Weezer Cruise"? 

Her shows for "Station To Station" give us a clue as to what she might play on these upcoming shows. This is just the ones I was able to figure out. She most likely played some songs not listed here.

No, it's definitely happened before, as far back as the Joan of Arc tour there were two shows in the same night at Tonic, and when she played the MFA in Boston in 2006 there was an early and late show. I think that was the last time I saw her play solo, wow, 7 years ago.

Right, in fact her last string of 10 solo dates from August-September 2006 were all 2 shows a night, except for 1 city. However, it is something new for myself. I dont recall ever seeing a band twice in the same night, its just another one of those things that Chan does that makes her more awesome than everyone else.  Totally excited about these shows!

I don't know if that's the official artwork but that's a good one!

Hopefully, some Europe dates will happen. I see on her instragram she writes "SOLO TOUR 2013-2014" and on another post mentions being in Paris in the Spring.

Yep, but a solo tour means smaller venues: it might be trickier to get a ticket than last time if there is not more than one concert per country. Anyway, it's still good news, of course!

Nope, I just realized 11/29/12 was the cancelled Berlin date. This just had the 2013 date for some reason and was obviously not correct.

I never would have guessed at the beginning of this year that the longest leg of touring this year would be solo shows.

In her last interview, Nico Turner said that she will join Cat Power (most probably still solo) tour again in February.

She mentioned this last night. She said she "gave a lecture at harvard". ????

Just a note to list some of the new tracks that have been appearing since the solo tour started.

"Who's Gonna Rock?" - Not sure on the title. Chan said it was chinese translation?? It was briefly played on 10/11/12, as well as the Station To Station shows. 

"Just Like Heaven" - Cure cover, usually played in conjuction with ''Bully". Also appeared at the Station To Station shows.

"Pa-Pa Power" - Dead Mans Bones cover. Also appeared at the Station To Station shows.

"Framboise Je'taime" - Not sure on the title. A ''very catchy street song'', sung in french. 

"Maria" - Not sure on the title. Sounds a lot like "He Turns Down" or "Hey Porter".

"Star Spangled Banner" - Chan mentioned that this is from before the Covers Record, though I have never heard it on any of her recordings from before this solo tour. She has her own arrangement for this.

"Old Detroit" - "We got cows, we got water, we got coffee, we got beans''. Played at Cleveland, listed on the 11/23/13 setlist.
