2/22/05 - Costa Mesa, CA, Detroit Bar

She had us sit on the floor for the entire show.

You know, I saw her at the Detroit Bar and I left with mixed feelings about her performance, I mean, don't get me wrong, she was great and makes great songs, but that night she couldn't finish a song. And I was wondering if she was always like that live? I can't wait to see her when she comes back though.

I was also at the show. It was the first time I had ever seen her live. That poor sound guy. I was standing right by him and I thought he was going to cry. She kept saying how much she hated her vocal sound and the guy didn't know what to do. Yeah, I wish she had been more into it, and had finished some songs. On the other hand, it was cool to watch someone who was obviously extremely passionate and eccentric. Because when she was playing it was so beautiful. I don't think her recordings do her justice. Also, I thought it was annoying when everyone sat down, the place was too packed, and it was miserable.
